Rahaf Alhazmi is a photographer and researcher whose work explores personal histories through contemporary mediums. With a background in photojournalism and documentary photography from the University of the Arts London (UAL), Alhazmi’s practice incorporates photography, digital media, archives, and writing to investigate themes of visibility, authorship, and representation within Saudi culture.

Through a deeply personal approach, Alhazmi transforms discarded and overlooked objects into sites of reflection and personal articulation. Working through process-driven methodologies and engaging directly with lived experiences in the creation of her projects, she challenges dominant visual hierarchies, stereotypes, and conventional notions of value.

What starts as personal inquiry unfolds into a broader counter-narrative of existing representations of her country. Her work approaches representation not as depiction but as participatory process, attentive to intimacy and lived complexity.
