Michael Ho is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, film and installation. Departing from a personal history shaped by cultural displacement, his practice explores unstable states of identity and belonging. Drawing on mythology, material histories and lived experience, he examines how systems of belief and classification shape our relationships to bodies, objects and landscapes. His work often inhabits thresholds between memory and myth, material and spiritual, presence and absence, considering grief, desire and assimilation as forces through which ideas of home and identity are continually constructed and remade.
