Norberto Spina born in Turin, Italy, lives and works in London. After earning his BA from the Brera Academy in 2017, he graduated from the Royal Academy in 2024. His practice develops through a reflection on memory, understood as the connective tissue between the personal and collective dimensions. Drawing on a heterogeneous visual archive of family photographs, scenes from everyday life, religious icons and popular images from Italian tradition, Spina constructs pictorial compositions that elude any narrative linearity.
Spina's recent solo exhibitions include Anticamere (Cassina Projects, Milan, 2025) and Presente (Cooke Latham Gallery, London, 2024). He has also taken part in numerous group exhibitions in institutional and independent spaces, including Portals to unwritten time (Perrotin, Paris, 2025), RA Schools Show (Royal Academy of Arts, London, 2024), and Basel Social Club (Bank, Basel, 2025), on the occasion of Art Basel.
