Sarah Roig (b. 1999) is a Spanish art critic and writer based in London. She is a contributing editor at Bonart, an international art magazine, and is the founding editor of Found(in) a biannual print art and culture meta-magazine about the thinking that produces culture. Built collaboratively with artists, writers, designers and thinkers, it invites the reader into the ideas and processes behind what gets made including the magazine itself. Found(in) turns the magazine back on itself, making the act of its creation part of what it examines and inviting emerging voices to shape something new from the beginning.
Her work moves between art criticism, autotheoretical fiction and experimental writing reading image-making and contemporary culture against philosophical and theoretical frameworks. She is interested in how images and ideas circulate and change meaning, exhibitions that behave like questions, artists that complicate the present and the quieter politics of attention. Her writing is suspicious of certainty, and leaves room for hesitation. Mostly, she writes to understand what she thinks, but most of the times, to complicate it.
She holds a BA in Visual Media and Cultural Studies and an MA in Advertising, PR and Marketing from Goldsmiths University of London. She will be joining the MA Writing programme at the Royal College of Art this September 2026.
Roig is also the artist manager and head of studio of emerging artist Joan Horrach, with whom she has collaborated across projects in New York, Milan, and London. She continues to freelance across writing, criticism, and curating. She is available for commissions, collaborations, and especially a conversation.
