Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms apply when you use braveprojects.co.uk, the brave app, or any service brave Projects provides through them. By using any of them you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who we are

brave Projects is a privately funded non-profit arts organisation based in London. You can reach us at hello@braveprojects.co.uk.

2. Other terms that apply

3. Using the site and the app

You may use the site and the app for your own personal use. You must not misuse them. That includes trying to get into parts of the service you have not been given access to, interfering with how it runs, sending automated traffic that puts a strain on it, or using it to break the law. You must be 16 or over to hold an account.

4. Your account

Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through it. You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines.

5. What you send us

You keep ownership of anything you post, upload or submit to us, including community posts, open call submissions, guest writer applications and interview answers. You give us permission to store it, show it and share it through our services so they can work, and to consider it for the purpose you sent it. If we want to publish a submission as part of our programme, we will agree that with you first. You confirm that you have the right to send us what you send, and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.

6. Our content

The dialogues, diaries, podcasts, films, photographs and other material on our services belong to brave Projects or to the artists, writers and contributors who made them. You may read, watch, listen to and share links to them. You may not copy, republish or sell them, or use them to train an AI model, without written permission from us or the person who owns them.

7. Connecting other services

Some features let you connect an account you hold elsewhere, such as a Google or Microsoft calendar. We only ask for the access the feature needs, we use it only for that feature, and you can disconnect at any time from the same place you connected it or from your Google or Microsoft account settings. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms.

8. Listings and links to other sites

We list open calls, studios to rent, news and other opportunities run by other people, and we link to other websites. We take care to show them accurately, but we do not run them and cannot promise they are complete or up to date. Any application, tenancy or agreement you make is between you and the organisation that runs it. We are not responsible for other sites or what they do with your information.

9. The app

If you download the brave app from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence terms for apps also apply. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

10. Changes to the service

Our services are free to use and we change them often. We may add, change or remove features, and we may pause or stop a service, with or without notice. We will try to give notice before anything that affects your account.

11. Our responsibility to you

We provide our services as they are and as available, without promises that they will always work or be free of errors. We are not responsible for content posted by other people. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We will update these terms when our services change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when we last revised them. For significant changes we will let account holders know by email or a notice in the community. If you keep using our services after a change, the updated terms apply.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms can go to hello@braveprojects.co.uk. Please tell us about any problem first and we will try to put it right.
